About the book

On Gradual AGI treats artificial general intelligence as a gradual, ongoing transformation rather than a single arrival. It brings together the ten installments of the Gradual AGI series and the chapter publications that followed into one framework: the Multi-Plateau Framework and the Unified Gradual AGI Model.

The book follows how capability becomes realized change through availability, exposure and domain conditions, and how optimization, governance, participation, evidence and feedback shape that path. It is organized in four parts:

  • Part I, Orientation: what “AGI” and “gradual” mean, and AGI-inclusive humanity as the system the book studies.
  • Part II, Architecture: the Multi-Plateau Framework, the realization model, synchronization (Ceiling, Floor and Slope) and optimization.
  • Part III, Mediation: governance, participation and its empirical test, evidence, and feedback and recursion.
  • Part IV, Integration: the Unified Gradual AGI Model, with a glossary, a notation guide, a Claims and Status Register and a Revision Record.

The book distinguishes claim types, records the evidentiary standing of its principal claims, and specifies tests, limitations, and failure conditions where applicable. Corrections after publication are recorded openly in its Revision Record, never silently overwritten.

The online edition and the repository

The online edition is searchable, with chapter-by-chapter navigation, rendered equations and all seventeen figures. The repository also holds Python code that reproduces the book’s calculations for Chapters 5, 6 and 9. It runs 28 tests against the values printed in the book, and they run automatically on every change.
